A La Carte
A La Carte were one of the first girl bands ever. Founded in 1979 – Patsy, Denise and Jenny ensured continuous chart presence until the formation split in 1985. Hardly any radio station that didn’t have one of their numerous disco hits on hot rotation. TV stations also quickly realized that the mix of melody, good optics and dance guarantee an excellent viewer rate: whether the catchy oldie remake “Do Wah Diddy Diddy” (# 22 GER single charts), the candid call to their many male fans “Ring Me Honey” – or “Doctor Doctor (Help Me Please)” with the diagnosis # 29 charts, or their tune “When The Boys Come Home”: Hendrik / Hartmann successfully produced a total of 38 songs for the trio of British singers in various line-up.
